This term in maths we have been learning how to add, subtract, multiply and divide. We use all of these skills to solve big maths challenges on a Friday. To find out about 3d shapes we went on a shape hunt around school and identified lots of different 3d shapes and discussed their properties.
We have been looking at stories written by the author Anthony Browne. Some of the stories we have listened to include; Gorilla, Voices in the Park and also The Tunnel. We spent some time exploring the story ‘The Tunnel’ and used drama to recreate some of the scenes. Finally we planned and wrote our own adventure stories about the tunnel.
In science we are investigating ‘sound’. Lambton class enjoyed learning about how we hear and all of the different parts of the ear. We were even lucky enough to listen to different sounds outside.
Lambton class were invited to take part in a tri golf festival at Maiden Castle. We all worked in small teams to complete a series of challenges. We had a brilliant time!
