The school has an excellent kitchen on the school premises, which provides balanced nutritious meals. Children are provided with a three choice menu which includes a sandwich option. All children are encouraged to eat the food they have selected in order to avoid unnecessary waste.
If your child has a medical condition requiring a particular diet please contact County Hall and this can be accomodated. Vegetarian children are also catered for.
All children in Reception and Key stage 1 receive a free school meal. Any children with medical issues related to eating can bring a packed lunch. For children in Key Stage 2 school meals are priced at £2.06 per day which can be paid weekly or monthly in advance. If your child is in Key Stage 2 and you do not wish him/her to have a school lunch you can opt to send a packed lunch. Please ensure this follows the school’s guidelines (see below) and does not include chocolate, crisps or fizzy pop.
