Australian Fundraising Day
Waldridge class were so affected by the raging bush fires in Australia and how it has devastated the eco systems and wildlife there that they decided to have a huge fundraising event. Children compiled games to play such as Catch-a-Croc, Pin the Nose on the Koala and Throw a Ball to Joey the Kangaroo. They also sold Australian biscuits and Australian fairy bread. Not only did they manage to raise a whopping £200 for the Australian Rescue Charity but had money left over to adopt a koala and buy goodies for the local RSPCA, not bad as everything cost 10p or 20p!
