Our school receives an annual budget provided through Durham Local authority. As part of this main school budget we receive a notional amount of SEND funding. This money is prioritised to ensure that progress is continually made by all children with a special educational need or disability. Details of how this money is used is provided in our school’s budget statement and monitored each term by the governing body.
Additional High Needs SEND funding can be allocated for children with statements on the basis of bands assessed for their academic, social and physical needs. This individual funding is used in a variety of ways including in-class individual support, either 1-1 or individual; withdrawal for individual or small group intervention and purchasing equipment and/or resources. Costed provision maps, demonstrating how the funding is used, are created for children with high needs giving detailed evidence of support and resources provided in school.
If you would like to discuss your SEND requirements in detail please contact the school to arrange an appointment.
